is anyone going to the july 26th-28th session of summer advising?

Yep, me. What's happening..

Have a back up list of courses planned. D just came back from her session and was closed out of 4 out of 5 classes. Is now taking peripheral courses. No intro French, no communications...Science majors seemed to have a better situation than humanities.

I don't have a list as it is, haven't even gone yet. Am I supposed to? I thought you go there and they set it all up for you(or maybe because i'm premed and the courses are pretty much standardized).

?

Mr.B, are your referring to preparing a course list prior to the start of summer advising?

Are we supposed to have a list of what classes we want before going to summer advising? I have no idea what classes I need/want, I thought it would all be explained at summer advising.

It doesn't hurt to have an idea of what classes you might be interested in and if you are inclined to use rate my professor type websites, which professors you might like to study with. I am sure you can take care of this at the school during your visit but why not be prepared? There will be a lot going on to distract you.

It's actually very hard to be prepared in that respect considering the journey it is just understanding how registering actually works. I don't think I could have ever figured out how to cross check our class books, check the overviews, and understand credits and how they are applied before all those advising sessions we had. But its all good, everything works out in the end..
