Summer Bridge?

I got into summer bridge program at UCSD, should I drop my summer school classes and go?

Tomorrow is the last day that I can drop my summer school classes with no marks, I have no idea which route is better for me, and I have so little time to decide.

I need advices ASAP!

*The summer classes I am taking are towards my major at UCSD, which would help clear out 2 classes I believed.

On the other hand.. the UCSD summer bridge sounds like a great way for me to experience UCSD beforehand and be more? confident when school starts this fall.

The reason that I can't do both is because my finals for the summer class is 1 week into summer bridge, its impossible to do both.

Have the same problem. Staying at school program because we have 4 years (more or less) there so why start now? Also it’s one of the last vacations we’ll ever have with all our friends.

haha so your not doing summer bridge, you going to do summer school?

if you were accepted into the summer bridge program, i suggest that you DEFINITELY take advantage of it.
A) you get to meet a ton of friends before you enter UCSD, which makes transitioning into college easier
B) you get priority registration. enough said.
C) you get 8 units out of it; (not towards your major, but it counts as elective units for graduation)
D) it’s free

i didn’t do it myself, but i have a lot of friends that did it my year (i’m an entering 3rd year), and one of my best friends from high school who’s a year younger than me asked me if he should do it. i told him to and he absolutely loved it. and his summer bridge friends are his best friends on campus now.
i understand why you’d like to continue with summer school, but i’m assuming that the classes you are taking now are lower div classes, which don’t take up much time to complete, and you could always do summer school next year.

You should definitely do summer bridge. It’s an amazing experience that you won’t have a chance for again! Since you already did the work and got accepted, take advantage of it. There are hundreds and thousands of others who were rejected or didn’t know about it but would love to do it.

yeah i’m doing a class at the local CC. I’m doing it because it’ll an easier class than if I take it at UCSD. Paradise17 has a point though, it does help you get priority for winter quarter. I guess your choice is take a class will be easier now than later or get priority for winter.
