<p>Are you allowed to just... skip exams?</p>
<p>I'm at Andover Summer Session and there's a lot of international kids who missed a few weeks of school to come here. They just took their exams early.</p>
<p>See, in India the exam system is completely different. I don't have just 2 exams a year; I have 6. We follow the trimester system. Each trimester has midterms and finals (so at the end of the year, I'd have written 3 midterms and 3 finals). To attend summer@brown, I would have to skip the first midterms of the year. I'm just asking if it's worth it, 'cause as far as I know, no one in my school has been allowed to take their exams early. Other people have skipped exams (midterms; no one skips finals) in the past to travel (not for summer programs or anything though).</p>
<p>Hey munnabhai, I'm also planning to attend summer @brown next summer. I'm also an international student but from Malaysia. I kind of have the same situation like you. It's same here in Malaysia, we don't have summer holidays during June-August. </p>
