<p>i mean it's a way for a lot of the "big name" institutions to milk some money...</p>
<p>if you have aspirations to attend an elite b-school, then you are much better off getting an proper internship working somewhere.</p>
<p>put it this way:</p>
<p>Candidate A and B are exactly identical (both same schools, same GPA)</p>
<p>Candidate A went to the Harvard B-School summer program.
Candidate B interned at Microsoft for the summer.</p>
<p>If HBS had to choose between the two, then Candidate B gets into HBS. Period.</p>
