Summer Calculus

Over the summer, I'm going to be taking Calculus and Psych 101, along with working 20-28 hours a week and running a book club. Suffice to say, it's going to be a busy summer!

I haven't taken a math class since HS, but I've "acquired" an Algebra II, pre-calculus, and trigonometry textbook to prepare. I've begun perusing the algebra and it's absurdly easy, but I'll try not to succumb to confidence because summer Calculus moves TWICE as fast. I have until June to prepare.

I'm terrified! Absolutely mortified!!! :P

Are those subjects a good place to start? Where on God's green earth do I begin??

I’m afraid I don’t have an answer for you, but I’m interested, since I’m taking Calculus over the summer as well.

I don’t know the level of your university. Is it semester or quarter based? We covered up to elementary integration in my first course.

However, if it’s anything like I had, it was computational and didn’t require any proof writing. If you’re great at Algebra, you’ll be great at Calculus. The trigonometry used is not very complex.

Honestly, just watch some Khan Academy videos to prepare.
