Summer Classes

Hey CC,
So this summer I am planning on taking Financial Accounting which is every morning for three hours Monday to Thursday from June 18 to July 26, so thats about 6 weeks. I was wondering if this is something fairly easy to get an 'A' in or can it be hard. I am also going to be taking a Film class that meets Mondays and Wednesdays for four hours during the summer too. These are community college classes I am taking and the accounting class will be pre-major prep and film will fulfill a g.e. After summer I should only have two semesters left till transfer to a four given I at least take two classes this coming summer. Is this summer schedule going to be difficult to manage with all 'A's or will I be fine?

You’ll be fine. Of course, it depends on who your instructors are.

Those kinds of courses can be hard or easy depending on the professor. I took a few of these a long time ago and my main knock against them is that they move so fast that it’s hard to absorb the material and retain it. I would always recommend a 12 or 14 week semester as you learn the material better.

So you think I will be fine, I know the film class probably is not going to be a problem, but I am more worried about the amount of material in financial accounting and learning it in that time window even if the instructors are easy.

I definitely agree with ya, BCeagle91, about taking it in a fall/spring semester, which i might actually do instead, but I thought with summer it’d allow me to concentrate mostly on that and getting a good grade there since it is major prep

Anyone got input on my potential summer schedule???

you will be fine,i believe.
