<p>Am I allowed to take summer classes at a local community college? Or would I have to do it at UCLA? And would I be able to transfer credits?</p>

<p>Yes, you can take summer school classes for unit credit at a community college. Also, you can transfer your credits. However, once you take a certain number of units here at UCLA, (I want to say it's 110 but I'm not certain on this) you can no longer take courses for unit credit at a community college - above that limit the classes will only fulfill requirements (ie foreign language, writing II, etc...) without transferring any units.</p>
