Hey guys, I am a first year junior transfer at UCLA.
I only transferred to UCLA with 61 units (91 UCLA units) so it looks like I will need to take summer sessions in order to graduate on time.
I was wondering if it is possible to take classes at my local community college in the summer instead of at UCLA? I know it's possible but I wanted to know if the units would still transfer to UCLA? Thanks

I don’t believe you can transfer units once you have more than 105.

You can’t get unit credit for community college courses after you have completed 105 units but you can still get course credit. You can still get unit credit if you take classes at a 4 year university.

I think this may depend on your major. If you are in engineering, for example, the OASA page states: If you have 105 or more quarter units of credit, you WILL NOT get credit for any course taken at a community college. You may only receive credit for courses completed at 4 year schools.
