I have seen some upperclassmen undergraduates doing clinical research over the summer at some big hospitals (MD Anderson, Brigham and Woman’s Hospital in Boston, etc). For some of the hospitals, I noticed that there were pages that listed out the specific programs (like MD Anderson) but some did not (BWH).
For hospitals like BWH, how do I find those research opportunities? Are there commonly known opportunities there and are they paid?
Have you tried checking with the pre-health or career advising office of your college?
Often programs that sponsor summer research opportunities will send out bulletins/notices to colleges.
There’s an annual thread over at SDN about summer research programs. This year’s thread----

Some summer programs pay; some don’t. Some you actually pay to attend.
