That’s a much more effective strategy for top law schools, which are nearly all numbers-driven. Med schools are more holistic and prefer that you take your science courses during the academic year at your four-year college. Now, there is nothing wrong with taking a general ed/distribution requirement, such as history, at a juco.

You’re probably right. It’s probably safer to take 2 classes since they’ll be the first Berkeley classes I’m taking and as of now, I won’t know how easy or hard they’ll be. I’m probably going to take Multivariable and Linear Algebra/Diff Eq. this summer at Berkeley, but I still need to consult my parents with the high cost. None of the community colleges around my area seem to offering anything higher than Precalculus. I might be able to commute and take classes at a different UC like UCI, but yet again, costs are the basically the primary motivator for summer classes.

By the way, it’s only 5 hours a week for each class, which seems manageable.

Yeah, if you were going to take Math 55 in addition that would be pretty crazy.

I’m taking Physics 7B and English N1A, because I’m looking to relax, focus on studying for physics, and then read when I want to relax.

If you’re eligible for financial aid you can submit last year’s FAFSA (not sure if it is past the date yet).

The courses meet 5 days a week for lecture 5 days a week for discussion (1 hour each lecture and discussion). Both Math 53 and 54 are MTWThF, and they both have 1 hr lecture and discussions.

^ Yeah, you too! I was thinking about taking Physics 7B, but I figured that I’m a bit behind in math since there’s so many people who have taken multivariable their senior year or earlier.

I did AP Physics C, so I’m hoping I’ve done some of the stuff in 7B at least at some level.

I’ve done MV, but I sort of wish that I was able to take it at Berkeley level as opposed to a CC level.

I definitely think that getting math out of the way would be a good idea, so you can start taking courses for your major (unless you’re a math major).

I just hope that I can get in to Physics 7C for fall 2010.
