summer courses

do med schools dislike when you take a science over the summer. I am considering taking physics next summer somewhere back home (NY) to ease up my junior year schedule. Does anybody advise against this and why?

take it at a college that has a reputation equivalent to the one your normal school has (make sure its a 4 year university). there's been a lot of controversy over how med schools look at prereq courses taken over the summer.

what if you start your undergrad career in the summer? If i go the reg route i was hoping to start in the summer and do the fall sem then take a semester off + summer 2 to do this internship (research) or does that look bad?

i started my undgrad in the summer... but never took a quarter off, but i doubt admissions will care about taking a semester off for something productive... they might question your choice, but i highly doubt they will frown upon it.... dont worry about it
