Does Wellesley offer summer courses? If so, do they allow students to stay in the dorms for that time?

Yes and yes.
Btw, summer school is co-ed also, though boys are not allowed to stay on-campus.

Boys are allowed to stay on campus. They usually get their own area on the five-person floors of Freeman or Bates. The number is just extremely small, and more often than not, the boys are doing REUs than taking summer school courses.

Ah, the things I don’t know about summer session.

thanks! I also just saw they have it in their “upcoming featured events” section on their homepage haha

bumpp
i’m an undergrad at a university in the boston area, and i’m interested in attending the summer school. the main reason because their prices are surprisingly reasonable compared to many other private schools of a similar calibre, from what i’ve researched.
however…the problem is that i’m a guy. so, from what i’ve gathered from the posts above…would be weird for me to enroll? what is the guy/girl ratio i should expect there over the summer? any information is appreciated! thanks.

I took summer classes a few years ago. From what I could tell, there were less than 10 guys living in the dorm. I want to guess 5? Many of the guys I encountered commute from home or their campus if they were local.

I took 3 classes over the whole summer, there was a different guy in each. Class size varied from 8 to 15.

I worked on campus this past summer, didn’t really run into any guys for some reason.
