Summer dorms at Rice?

Hi, I'm in high school near Houston, and some friends of mine were planning on staying at a Rice dorm this summer. Would Rice allow them to stay at a place like Martel College this coming summer? If so, who would I contact and how much would it cost? Thanks for your help.

Summer housing was at Baker, but it filled up, so they opened Will Rice. Pricing and contact info is at http://salt.rice.edu/summer/index.php?topgroupid=1&subgroupid=13&groupid=8 though you'd probably be better off staying at home.

Thanks.

My friend contacted Ms. Veronica Boroom, the contact listed on that page. Unfortunately, she said that only full-time Rice students are allowed to stay at the dorms. Do you know of any other housing options?

It's probably too late to sublet an OC student's apartment, so your best bet is to try and rent a place. Anything close to Rice would probably be pretty pricey, though, so you may want to opt for something within biking/driving distance. Is there any reason you want to stay close to campus?

Just to clarify, the dorms are not for me, I'm just asking for a friend who doesn't have a CC account. Yeah, she's planning on getting an apartment near Rice though we don't know how far away it is yet.
