Summer Harvard SSP 2013

I agree. I really wanna experience university life this sumer while continue exploring my favorite subject, so I’ve decided go to this Harvard program. Yaaayy! Haven’t decided which course to take tho

Yes! I got in a few weeks ago and have been looking for courses to take…
I am stuck on taking calculus 1 and intro to psychology or calculus 1 and law & psychology?
Any suggestions?? I’ve heard calculus 1 kills people so I’m actually kind of worried about that. Any one else taking these courses?

if you know anybody with a Harvard ID, they can check Q score - ratings of a class; very good way to investigate. also you can go online now and see how many people have enrolled so far for each class. i would tend to think that more enrolees suggests that people have favourably analyzed the class and/or professor

you might also go to ratemyprofessor.com and see if you can find the profs for the various courses.

many of the ssp profs are visiting profs, so there may not be harvard q scores available

ps it is commonly held that taking 2 four credit classes is much ‘easier’ and probably more desireable in many cases, in that it allows time to do more other activities in the 7 weeks.

no race to register if a given class has unlimited or high enrollment capacity, imo

For me its like a week or so.

a one week program?

I’ve also been accepted to the SSP and I’ve signed up for International Law and Macroeconomics. I’m really looking forward to it! :D

I am signed up for law and psychology & Strategies and conflict!! Can’t waiT!!

I’ve also gotten accepted for 2013! So excited!

Which courses are you guys taking? I’m going to be taking two 4-credit courses but it is so hard to choose…so I was wondering what you guys are planning on taking.

Congratulations!
I was also in doubt for a while  You should just look trough everything that interests you very carefully and if a course doesn’t have a syllabus copy the name and paste in in google, then it mostly shows you one from last year.

I’m taking Calc II and Practical Japanese!! So excited!! (:

I’m going ! So excited to meet everyone :)

I’m taking International Law too ! :)

Haha, nice! If you’re interested, this is the syllabus from 2011: http://isites.harvard.edu/fs/docs/icb.topic911043.files/Gov%20S-1740%20Syllabus%202011%20Final.pdf</a>
From what country are you? I’m from Belgium.

Hi, it might be a dump question, but does anyone knows what the bed linens include? On their website they say something about a fitted sheet, but do I have to bring a blanket or something else with me?

I got my dorm building today! I’m in Holworthy, where are you guys living??

I’m in Thayer Hall! Here are some pictures of all the Freshman houses: https://blogs.law.harvard.edu/collegeadmissionsstudentblog/2012/04/05/harvard-freshman-housing/</a></p>

I’m in Straus Hall!

And this may may answer your question, Jeroen… Maybe not, but it states here what HSA considers bed linens…
“Each linen set contains:
2 large bath towels
2 sheets
1 pillow case
1 face cloth
Note: The basic linen set does not include pillows, blankets, or bedspreads. However, you do have the option of adding these items.”
