ArtsBridge might have one in NY. They did them in the past.
@artskids I sent you a PM about CMU! Thx!
@DallasSMB - Weighing in on the BoCo program: my D did it last year, and indeed, it was just as they themselves bill it: a musical theater dance intensive with side helpings of voice and acting. The predominant emphasis is on dance, with three different levels, all based on ballet (not MT). In addition to tons of daily dance, there is definitely collective and some individual voice work, and there are acting classes. All are taught by BoCo faculty, whom my D connected with, respected and just plain old liked a whole lot!
There are also several mock auditions, with excellent feedback, and there’s a showcase at the end, families invited.
My D (strong dancer and singer, less training in acting) LOVED it, and, aside from the heavy duty dance training and conditioning, what it was most helpful for was confirming to her that a BFA program was what she wanted. She loves academics too and for her that was the difficult part of the puzzle to give up - she already knew she would embrace the schedule/living/breathing theater, etc. but somehow “living the life” for three weeks just gave her that final “I have to do this” mindset. She also loved living in the BoCo dorms, which are brownstones, and being in Boston and being surrounded by so many MTers and dance kids. Age ranged from rising HS juniors through to rising college sophs - my daughter was a rising senior last summer.
But yes, if your daughter is already a strong dancer and singer this would play to her strength/s, as it did for my D. That was fine with D - she did NY State School of the Arts for Modern for several summers before that and just loved enveloping herself in dance in the summers. And, in her case it all turned out to be a total bonanza, as she wound up being admitted to the BFA program at the end of the summer (for this upcoming year) - but I believe this is a rarity (not aware of anyone else her year who got a similar offer - but could have happened) and not something to pin hopes on. So what seemed like a huge financial indulgence at the time unexpectedly “paid off” in many, many ways.
But – it’s a dance program overall, definitely. If strengthening the acting is what you’re after, I would focus on a different program. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions about it.
