I'm a freshman student at MIT looking to major in mathematics and management science. I started looking for possible summer internships and I'm really interested in innovation technology firms like Microsoft, DE Shaw, Google and investment/consulting firms like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, McKinsey. Obviously, those are out of my reach but does anyone suggest any good internship programs especially for freshman and sophomore students that would gear them towards a bigger name internship in their junior and senior years?

also concern about this

I think Bear Stearns has an internship in fixed income that freshman can apply to.
It would be a good steppingstone to next year's internships.

bear stearns has a freshman internship really? i've never heard about that and i go to school in nyc..

not specifically for freshmen, more oriented towards juniors
but it says freshmen and sophomores can apply too
I just saw the listing on my school's career center website.
