Summer Internships for HS Students (Computer Science/Engineering/Architecture?)

Hi College Confidential,

I'm currently a junior in high school and I'm looking for some sort of an internship this summer. I've applied to BLIPS but I can't find anything else that doesn't require payment.

I'm looking to go into Computer Science, and if I don't get into BLIPS (which I think I should get into but you never know..), I figure I'll just end up writing Android applications to sell or something...

but is there anything you guys would recommend? Anything related to engineering or even architecture because that seems like something I'd like to get in to. Is it too late though? I haven't really done anything related to architecture except look at pictures of houses and remember some names of people.

A lot of the internships I found were at least $6,000 for everything and I'm not sure if I'll be able to spend that much money... I don't know though

Try looking around for some local architecture firms who might be willing to offer part time jobs or internships. Even if you don’t find a position, you probably shouldn’t worry too much since many architecture applicants haven’t done it either.
