Does anyone know of any summer programs for composition (preferably classical, not jazz) for post high school age still taking applications? Oberlin has a waiting list.

Just got emails about two programs with limited openings still for composers.

Accent11 at CCM with Christopher Theofanides: [College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) - University of Cincinnati - AccentX Festival Composition Seminar](http://ccm.uc.edu/musicx/accent/composition.aspx)

And Composer-Performer Collaboration: An Interactive Workshop for Composers, featuring THE KRONOS QUARTET June 26- July 9, 2011, California State University Summer Arts Program
[CSU Summer Arts](http://www.csusummerarts.org/courses2011/Composer_Performer.shtml)

The NY Summer Music Festival at Oneanta may still have open applications…

Boston Conservatory has a Composition program that is new this year. I believe applications are due in the next few days.

Just thinking suddenly this might be good, tho obviously quite late.

Where are you located? I’ve noticed you’ve posted on California colleges a bit. There are two good programs in the Bay Area - neither of which are residential programs - SF Conservatory has a high school composition program, and Crowden Community Center’s John Adams Young Composers Program has one in Berkeley.

It’s also possible that California Summer Music at Sonoma State (a residential program) still has an opening.

NYSSMF mentioned in a post above is appropriate for high school students. And there are many other programs all across the country which might have an opening still, such as AccentX above.
