<p>hey...now add me to the CMU's pre-college summer program :)...i got in to do MT.</p>
<p>OK...umm, ive hit a bit of a problem. in you all's opinion which program,between tisch CAP 21 summer program and CMU's MT program would be better....i cant decide...lol.
I love the fact that CMU helps you to understand the audition process, does NYU tisch do that as well?
Also, Tisch has a plus because it in the heart of NY and you get to meet directors and producers and the cast of several plays, and also tisch give free private voice lessons, whereas at CMU you have to pay..(something that my parents may not be able to do).
But that whole thing about helping to do auditions is a really good thing and something i need...cause i have never had anybody go through that with me before...
what do you think?..which one is more intensive?...can anybody help me :(...im deperate!...lol

<p>I cannot tell you anything about CAP 21's summer program, but I can tell you a TON about CMU's summer program since I did it last year. Feel free to PM me. I love talking about last summer!</p>
<p>CMU's program is very intense. You have classes Monday-Friday from 9-6 (with an hour lunch break) and there are additional optional workshops from 7-10 as well. It was a life-changing experience for me and it prepared me really well for the auditions and confirmed that I wanted to study the BFA in college. Some people went to the program thinking they wanted a BFA and then realized they didn't. I think it's better to figure out before you get yourself into this whole audition process that it is what you want....and CMU's program is fabulous.</p>
<p>In terms of voice lessons, you have a singing class, so if you can't pay for the voice lessons, you'll still be given repertoire from your singing teacher and he will work with you on an individual level as well.</p>

<p>Adding my two D's to CAP 21 (professional and pre-college). D number two did not get into Cherub or MPulse. I'm trying to find out if CAP 21 accepts most every applicant. Haven't heard of any rejections from them yet. Anyone know? Those of you going to CMU this summer - it's phenomenal. You'll get so much out of it. Enjoy! My third D got into Interlochen Arts Academy for the year (grade 10). wow. don't know if I'm ready for her to leave home so young. (She'd already attended 3 summers there). Anyone know of academy students there?</p>
<p>My daughter was accepted to the 4-week NYU Tisch CAP 21 program. She heard yesterday and is very excited.</p>
