Summer programs for art

My son is looking for a summer art program. He will be a rising junior. Right now he is thinking about University of the Arts in Philly, Young artist residency (Art Institute at Lesley Univ.), Parsons pre-college, Pratt pre-college, and SVA pre-college. If anyone has attended any of these, we would love to hear about your experiences. Were they worth the cost, professionally run, and what were the other kids like? Would you recommend them? Thanks.

My son attended Pratt last summer. He enjoyed the other kids, the classes, and the scheduled activities on weekends. The worst problem was that it was an extremely hot summer and they held some classes in buildings without air conditioning. They said it was because they had fire damage in the air-conditioned building that they usually use. I feel they should have either told us about the situation ahead of time, brought in portable air conditioning units, or made some other contingency plans. My son got a terrible heat rash. Even so he still had a great summer and he said he would recommend the program.
