Summer Programs - Summer before Senior Year

Hello!

I'm just curious of any well-known summer programs for rising HS seniors that relate to politics(and similar humanities) or business, that have a selective admissions process.

The ones I'm looking at now (not likely I'll be accepted by either, but hey..) are TASP and the Summer Clerical Program at the U.S. Dept. of State.

I'm not dead set on any program - I know for the type of program I want admissions will be tough - but the reason I ask is that I don't want to miss any deadlines/rush any essays.

Thanks for any ideas!

JSA has some politics related programs.

Economics for Leaders is good and relatively selective one week program for rising seniors. Its major emphasis is in teaching economics and leadership to high school rising seniors.

I’ll second Economics for Leaders. And it costs next to nothing.

I second JSA.

You can take AP Macroeconomics as your course, and during Congressional Workshops (debates), you can easily debate some economics related topic like China or austerity.
