The Yale Ivy Scholars Program accepts applicants internationally 
. Its pretty challenging, but there are guest speakers who are former ambassadors or have worked in the White House. You get lectures from the Yale faculty about international relations and run a simulation (sort of like model UN). For me, it was very rewarding. Here’s a link if anyone is interested:

I second this. Though I’m just a freshman, international affairs and politics have always intrigued me, and I have done multiple research projects about the UN and Foreign Service to further my understanding. If anyone knows any good programs that go to Eastern Asia (My main interest. China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc. I know a beginner’s amount of Chinese and Japanese, but saw several other programs I’m not sure are good or not). My main concern is price of the program. Either cheap programs or programs with scholarships would be great :)</p>

<p>What about international relations programs that take you abroad into Paris? I really like the sound of the Tufts Summit program, but I can’t find any info on it for the Summer of 2014 dates, or if they even plan of doing it this summer. I really want more than a study abroad/immersion program, I’d like to also study international relations. Anyone know of any programs to look into?</p>

<p>EastCoast, there is a Tufts program on IR in our town, Talloires (France). We know the prof who runs it and we think she is terrific. You should be able to find it by googling with the name of the town. Send me a message if this doesn’t work.</p>
Applied to USC’s IR and plan on attending. I know it’s probably not prestigious by any means because it’s expensive but I had friends who went and said the professor at IR is just incredible and beyond words.

Try mysummeradvisor.com There are lots of programs in international relations. (It’s under “Liberal Arts”). People to People offers travel programs that often include meeting with members of parliament, etc. If you are interested in a particular part of the world, look for travel programs. Some include community service. Also, look at the pre-college programs at large schools. There will often have a class in international relations.

I know this is an older thread now but Carleton College has a program called the Summer Quantitative Reasoning Institute where one can focus on Political Science/International Relations.
I just attended this summer and I have to say my experience was absolutely wonderful and would recommend anyone to check out the program. Also, if you don’t care really care too much for math, no need to worry. Math is not really used. Being familiar with statistics is quite helpful, but is definitely not necessary.
