Summer Programs That Look Good on College Applications

Thoughts on best programs for technology, business and entrepreneurship?

@Josh_AK Hello! I am from Washington and I am looking into summer programs. I clicked on ur link but the address was not foundā€¦ is there another way I can get to the program? Thank you!

I donā€™t see the link at all

Iā€™m more into literature and writing as well, but I donā€™t really have creative writing awards

Are there any good, free summer programs?

Anyone know any good biology or chemistry summer camps that are easier to get into not very selective like RSI?

I know Iā€™m really late but are there any programs that are still accepting applications? I already have an internship lined up but would be interested in exploring other options as well. My areas of interest are nanotechnology and biotech. Thanks!

Does anyone know how good the Stanford Summer Humanities looks? Iā€™ve already committed, but Iā€™ve heard conflicting opinions from ppl about how ā€œprestigiousā€ it really is and Iā€™m curious.

@123456help - UCSC - SIP has good research projects for Bio/Chem . more info @ http://ucsc-sip.org/

Iā€™ve heard the Senate Page Program looks very good on applications, but it is VERY hard to get into

Which program is best for college - HSHSP, SSP, or Garcia?

If you can, hop into the internship realm locally or regionally. I was able to have 3 before I began college and I really feel that is what made me stand out from the rest.

I am not sure someone added Mathily/Mathily-ER. If no one has, Iā€™m adding it to the list

NASA SEES (STEM enhancement in Earth Science) internship

  • work with nasa scientists and other high school students
  • work remotely leading up to internship (pre req work, learn about satellites, python and other things important to the internship)
  • 2 weeks residential at UT Austin campus (because of its proximity to the Texas Space Grant Consortium)
  • rising juniors and seniors that are US citizens can apply
  • 7.5% acceptance rate ( they accept 45 kids out of around 600 that apply)
  • completly free to apply and attend (except transportation but they do provide transportation scholarships)
  • really fun!!!

any programs in history?

For history, itā€™s not a summer program, but getting a paper published in the Concord Review is an accomplishment. The research for the paper could be performed during a summer.
