This summer I am most likely going to attend a 3-4 week summer program at a university I love. Do you think this would be able to help me get into this university? Or does it depend on the school and if they take interest into account?

PS: I am not solely going to this program just to help me get into the school, I genuinely love the program topic and the area this school is in.
If you love the program that is great, but it is highly unlikely that it will help you get into the university.

Doing a summer program at the school probably won’t help much.
Sometimes actually, the summer program and the school are two different entities. The school rents out its empty rooms (dorms, classrooms etc.) for the summer program to use. Both profit off of it.
If you genuinely love the area, then go for it. Just know that it is more about the experience than attending the program itself.
