Summer Quarter -> chance to be accepted for fall?

So I’ve been deferred from Columbus and into a branch campus for next year, but I have enrolled as a transient student at Columbus this summer for a Chinese program that’s giving me 15 credits, essentially making me a full time student at OSU for this summer only.

I’ve been hearing how some people can become accepted to OSU as a student for the fall if they start in the summer, is that true? I don’t want to ask admissions if this has never been done before, but I do want to take advantage of this if the rumor has some merit.

Thanks!

My friend was deferred from Ohio State, but later received the option to either be wait-listed, sent to a regional campus for a year, or start in the summer quarter and automatically be enrolled for fall quarter. She chose to start in the summer, and I actually just visited her this week! There are requirements however, like obtaining and maintaining at least a 3.5 GPA throughout the summer. There may be other requirements, but that’s the one I’ve heard of most. This has definitely been done before, so I think you should definitely ask admissions if you can take advantage of this!

Hope this helps. (:

Hey thanks, good to hear, I’ll go to Enarson tomorrow and ask! :D
