For current students, would it be a good idea (or at least an ok idea) to take a general ed course at a local university this summer? For instance, to satisfy a general requirement for math or science? Has anyone done this? It seems like it would be a good way to lighten the load as a freshman. I think I read somewhere that Tufts accepts 3 units of summer school per year from other schools. Thanks.

Probably couldn't hurt. The course load can be pretty tough sometimes.
My daughter had to drop some courses and will be making them up in summer school. Would you want to go to summer school at Tufts?

No, in California.
