summer school

anybody know how hard classes (particularly low level math/science) are for harvard summer school
how is the experience?

I took a chemistry course at Harvard last summer. I'd say the curve is around a B. I got an A because I did very, very well, but I know people who got B's and C's. You needed a 90% overall to get some sort of A/A-, I know that, and higher than that to get an A. I could probably send you some sample problem sets and exams if you'd like (for chemistry).

Other than grading, you have lecture 5 days a week and two sections, plus a required lab twice a week, so it really takes up a lot of your time. But it's really fun.

chrisiskey: Did you take Organic Chemistry with Procter? Though I've already taken the Chem 17/27 sequence during the term (very...painfully...), a lot of my friends are going to be doing it this summer and they're desperate for any advice.

xjayz,

No, I took regular chemistry with Tucci, but I hear summer orgo is a lot easier. I got to know a couple of the summer orgo students and they really liked it. I also took 17/27 and I think it's fair to say summer orgo is better than the 55-minute midterms and 10-hour problem sets in chem 17.
