Oh and also, the SSP site says that the New Mexico Tech and CU Boulder experiences wouldn’t differ too much, but I think they would still be a bit different, like perhaps the instructors, general atmosphere, etc. Does anyone know about this?
Hey guys, I have asked this question on another forum, but I will ask it here too. I am an international student applying to the astrophysics program in SSP and my friend is applying to SSP too but to biochemistry program. The problem is that I and my friend are from the same country (and the same school…). Do you think if there is going to be a competition between me and him if we are applying to different “sub-programs”? I am not trying to be hypocritical, but his SAT scores are well higher than mine and I am pretty much concerned about it.
@ heleena: The project/curriculum would be the same at both NM and CU. My son went to the program at CUB and picked it because the dates worked out better (I think one of the programs started a week earlier). He LOVED it there, but I suspect the camaraderie and friendships would be similar at either program. (He has met a friend in college who attended the NM program and had a similarly positive experience).
Hi guys I’m a sophmore looking to apply for the biochem program, but if I haven’t taken AP Biology and AP Chem is it worth an attempt to apply? It seems that they accept few sophmores
Hi All. I believe the SSP results are coming in. My D applied for BioChem at Purdue and got selected. Waiting for financial aid now.
And she is an international applicant.
I’m going to lock this thread. Please move all future conversations to the Summer Science Program 2019 thread. Thanks!
