<p>In short, I'm thinking about taking two classes in each of the two summer sessions. All are political science, and it works out to about 4 hours of instruction every day, Monday-Friday, including both lecture and discussion.</p>
<p>I'm fairly studious--I don't party or drink or anything. I won't be working or interning, just taking the classes.</p>
<p>Is this doable, or am I setting myself up for failure?</p>
<p>Edit: wait are you taking four classes? Never seen anyone do that =p It’s probably doable but don’t you want some free time instead of nonstop schooling.</p>
<p>That’s equal to twenty hours of class per week. One of my friends took CS 61A (12 hours) and Physics 7B (14 hours) last summer and did fairly well. He also worked part-time. I think it was around 10 hours every week…a total of 36 hours/week…</p>
<p>You’ll probably be fine…you could even get a part-time job on top of that to pay for part of the tuition/whatever.</p>
<p>Don’t worry about it, it’s more than doable.
I took 5 classes, I’m also a poli sci major (with a double in Soc and a minor in city planning) and it was easy.</p>
<p>I would have taken 6 if I had known that I would cope this well. Sure, you’re going to have to put in effort and so on, but everything’s more relaxing in summer. It’ll be fine, don’t worry!</p>
<p>Summer classes are super expensive.</p>
<p>Question: If you have your tuition covered in a scholarship during the regular semesters, does it cover summer sessions as well?</p>
<p>What class are you taking? I am probably going to take the theory classes</p>
<p>It’s fine, but make sure to get some rest for the fall semester.</p>
<p>Very doable, but watch out for long-term burnout! Having a balanced life is important in the big picture of things.</p>
<p>It’s generally doable, but fall might be tiring and the following spring will wear you out – especially if you don’t let up on the workload :)</p>

<p>If I complete this schedule I’ll only need 12 units (plus a DeCal) for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 to satisfy both the PS major requirements and the PP minor requirements.</p>
<p>Oh I took PS 150 last semester. The professor is pretty witty and funny.
And I am taking Ansell (Public problems) this semester. not really my thing…
Also PS3 with Gailmard is pretty good. It’s not that bad, a lot of extra credit.</p>
<p>Gailmard in Summer is quite possibly your best option for PS3 (trust me, I took it and it was way easier than regular semester, from what I’ve heard). Tests are fair, and I got a really great study group. I enjoyed it very much.</p>
<p>I’m also taking 181 with Ansell now… well it’s better than my alternative, PubPol 179 (which satisfies Pol Sci requirements, in case anyone asks) which got reallllllly boring after a while.</p>
<p>Definitely do able! That’s nothing. Plus, it’s only two classes so you can focus your brain on 2 classes which is easier to me.</p>
