My departmental advisor told me not to bother taking summer courses because "[...] they are more expensive than Spring or Fall."

I haven't been able to confirm this. Has anyone here taken summer courses? Willing to shed some light on this?

All right, according a GS administrator, the per-credit price is the same in any term. I wonder if it used to be different?

bump…best summer courses to take in a 12 week interval concurrently with chemistry, anyone? i’ve heard that core courses are good to take during the summer–specifically the art / music hums. have any of you guys had experience taking 12 week courses or know which are the most viable one’s offered?

I can answer my original question. The courses in the summer are administered through the School of Continuing Education. GS does not award financial aid to be used for classes administered by the School of Continuing Ed. So, basically, if you want to take summer classes, you’ll be paying much more out of pocket - or Sallie Mae’s pocket, whatever.

If you’re smart, you would procure food from the grocery store ( China Town grocery stores are hugely economical ), and then learn how to make food you like via youtube video tutorials.

Microwaveable food is also a good ( and unhealthy) option.
