Summer Sessions @ Berk

anyone doing summer sessions?

im a spring 07 transfer admit and i figured i'd get 2 classes in during the summer to make up for my fall loss.

hah... as a college junior, im excited about the dorm experience. how's unit 2 housing, btw? ps. do they have a fridge to store extra meals & snacks?

New, somewhat spacious, and beautifully designed. I MIGHT stay in Unit 2 (if not co-ops).

i was considering co-ops but this summer may be once in a lifetime opportunity to live in a dorm... they robbed me of guaranteed housing :( b/c i got deferred to spring 07 admission.

so co-op may be in order for spring 07. how is co-op life btw?

For housing, go Unit 3, I heard through several people that Unit 3 is Berkeley's de facto party dorm.

i dont know if we're tlakign about the same thing but anyway...

Is the Freshman summer session worth it? I really don't want to spend money and waste a month of summer. Am I going to miss out or what?

ugh unit 3 is so gross; not worth the social factor since it's not like unit 1 and 2 aren't fun. unit 3 has bad bathrooms, smaller rooms, bad lighting, older furniture

I MIGHT be doing co-ops - I'm submitting the form today. I really want to get a clean and quiet co-op like Andrew Castro Arms, Ridge House, or Euclid House. My friend who's currently in Haas business school says that co-ops are the way to go - MUCH more living space, a tight-knit community (within the co-op system), and 40% the price of a regular dorm... not bad.

i love unit 2, i think it looks better than the other two units

bathrooms are clean, pretty small for me, u can store a miniature fridge when u get out of the dorms there's a bunch of berkeley gangsters.....its funny...
