Summer Sessions Financial Aid

So here's a person who's registered for two summer classes and and is feeling more disinclined to take them day by day. A major reason is financial aid. I signed up for 8 units of classes and applied for financial aid. A week ago, I was told I was ineligible to receive aid because my "file is incomplete," even though I'm sure I handed in the FAFSAs (although I faxed in the 08-09 one just before the midnight of May 15th, but I live in the same time zone as Cal) and the Summer 2009 Financial Aid Application. According to an email, a reason for this may be that my "file is awaiting an NSLDS loan and grant history report," but day by day, I think this may not be the reason... Can anyone shed some light on this?

Here's another thing. I wasn't eligible for financial aid for the normal school year (EFC a bit too high? budget cuts don't help). Does this correlate to my receiving any sort of aid for the summer sessions? And how big is this aid anyway?

I don’t know the specifics for your school, but if you were not eligible for financial aid during the normal school year it is highly likely you will not be eligible during the summer session. If your EFC was too high then, it is still too high now.
