I have heard that for a student to graduate from UF in four years they will need to do at least one summer session. The school is so crowded that with the competition to get into required courses, the only way to get all the requirements in four years is to spend a summer in school.
True or False? Anyone know the truth?

One way to waive the summer session is to come in with at least 9 hours of AP credit.

So are you saying that it is definitely mandatory to do a summer session? Can you do it at a local college during the summer and transfer the credits?

I really don't know. My S had the necessary AP credits so I did not think of this further. You might phone the admissions office; I'm sure they'll have the info you need.
