sunday at the square.......very confused

Hello to everyone on the NYU board!!! Please help unconfuse me:
I applied to NYU at the last minute because I was freaking out about not being able to get in anywhere.....and I never paid the application fee. But I just received the Sunday at the Square invitation, and based on what I read in some previous threads that's similar to a likely letter?? How certain/where do people get the information that this invitation = likely letter?? Thank you so much!

P.S. I would be very happy if it really means I can get in to the Gallatin School of Individualized Study!!!!!!!!

Hmm, I thought Sunday at the Square was only for Arts & Sciences? I dunno, I'm probably wrong.

I got an invite for Gallatin, so it's not just A&S kids.

Its a likely letter based on the wording "for the entering class of 2005." However, admission is not guaranteed until one recieves a formal letter.

I don't buy that wyseson.
The entering class are the admitted atudents. Besides NYU sends out acceptance letters on April 1st. Why would they have this program on April 3 for denied students?
Wellesleygirl, you are in.

That's what a likely letter is, alice. Basically if you don't murder anyone and don't start failing your classes, you're in.

Actually wyeson said that admission is not guaranteed, and I believe it is..........

Then why doesn't NYU just send out acceptances, instead of invites?

because they love MIND games.. actually im sure they are under some such agreement like the Ivies or something, or they havent finished reviewing everyones, or they are just courting us and really do enjoy mind games! lol
