My S2 is a h.s. junior. He loves WPI and hopes to go there for college. We are looking at several other schools as well.

I know that SUNY Albany has a very well known Nanotechnology program within their school of Engineering. Can anyone tell me if they only have Nanotech programs, or do they also offer regular Engineering majors too......I'm having trouble finding info. on their website........

I would appreciate any info. re: SUNY Albany's Engineering School and that college in general. Thanks.

You are having a hard time finding info about SUNY Albany’s college of engineering because it doesn’t exist. As you mentioned, they have a college of nanoscale science and engineering which is limited to nanotechnology. There is no other engineering program at Albany. Within the SUNY System, Binghamton, Buffalo and Stony Brook would be the best options for engineering.

Thanks sooo much, VMT. That’s what I wanted to know! I can take Albany off our list and move forward looking at other colleges. Thanks so much! :)
