I went to have a talk with my guidance counselor and she said she wasn't sure I'd get in thought everyone I know is saying I would. I'd like some other opinions; I think I'm just looking for solace here and I hope I get it.

I'm submitting SATs; (1st/2nd attempt)
720 / 670 reading
650 / 650 math
580 / 760 writing
So it's 1370/2130 best combined.
Math I and Chem SATs I got 730 and 740, respectively (If I remember correctly)
4 on AP Stat, 5 on Chem
95ish unweighted, 99.973 weighted
21/452 rank, top 5%
ACT I have a 31 but I don't think I'm going to submit that..
Taking AP Bio and Calc this year, others are honors courses.
Extracurriculars wise, I have varsity and independent swimming all 4 years, coaching swimming for JV, national and Italian honors societies, brainstormers (trivia competition) club, and science olympiad.
Also, I'm a permanent resident and only hold foreign citizenship, English is neither my first nor my primary language, if that is taken into account in any way.

Umm.. if I can give any other info to help you help me, do let me know.. I'm freaking out a bit now..

Oh, and should I still do early action? Theres over a week until the deadline and my Common App is done and they don't have supplements so I guess I might as well? Would that help or hurt my odds?

Wow, that's a relief to hear... Thank you guys!
And ColdWind, is that a joke? I'm no Ivy material..
I'm, for the record, applying to BU, Northeastern, Villanova, Binghamton, and possibly UVA and Penn State. I mean, I'll get in to at least a couple of those right?

Your class rank, 31 ACT, 1370/1600 SAT & 1320/1600 SAT are all good enough for several schools at Cornell. The last published 25th percentile of matriculated students at several Ivies was 1330/1600 or below for the class of 2011.
Dartmouth College 1330/1600
Brown University 1330/1600
Penn 1330/1600
Cornell 1290/1600.
Top 5% is good enough for all of the above schools. Your SAT IIs & APs are strong, as well.
SUNY Binghamton's applications are up by 50% this year due to economic worries that make in-state tuition look attractive.

Yeah, that's what my counselor said when I asked her why she thought I wouldn't get in.
Thank you for those stats; I didn't know those figures to be honest, I thought they were much higher. It would be amazing to go to an Ivy school, but there is the issue of finances. For example, I fell in love with BC but the price would put a financial strain on my family that I wouldn't be very comfortable with. I'm shooting for med school as well, so while Binghamton is cheap, it is also a good school and the low cost would mean that I'd be able to save some money for future tuition.

Thanks =]
Last question: if you were me, would you send my SATs, my ACT (31 with a 31/34/29/28, 9 essay breakdown), or both? This is considering I'll be majoring in science, so the 28 on the science section might not go over well?
