I got accepted into colleges, and money isn't the issue. I just can't decide between the two.

I visited both school and I loved both.

Here's the problem:
-Binghamton is considered to be the "ivy league" or SUNY schools, and all the kids that I met there were really nice. Also, the kids in Binghamton are all going to be students who like me, took a lot of AP and honors classes in high school. Unfortunately, Bing won't tell me whether or not I'm in the Honors program until after May 1. And their Honors seems a like it won't affect me that much.
-In Albany the kids didn't seem as nice as they did in Bing, but it has more to do in the town. But I got into the Honors program which seems very serious. I get first choice in dorms and classes, I'll be living with people who are on a higher level, and I'll get to work on a research project with a professor.

So both schools have some pros and cons, and I just can't decide.
Does anyone have an opinion?

Thank you!

I would personally choose Binghamton.

Why? Any specific reasons?

Alright, I accidentally wrote a 500-word comparison between Stony Brook and Binghamton. LOL! I thought you said Stony Brook, not Albany.

Give me a few minutes, and I’ll write something about Albany.

What are you majoring in? Anyway, personally, I think Binghamton is superior to Albany, especially in terms of prestige. BTW, if your in SoM, all the PwC invitations have already gone out.

If anyone wants my written comparison between Binghamton and Stony Brook, feel free to message me, and I’ll email it to you. According to MS word’s word-counter, I wrote 753 words…wasn’t just gonna delete that haha. I’ll email it to anyone who wants it…its pretty thorough and informative.

Alright, as for SUNY Albany.

I have a friend who goes there as a History major and he absolutely loves it. When I went to visit Albany as a HS Junior, he showed me the dorms and much of the campus. I thought the campus was incredibly ugly and the doors seemed smaller than typical SUNY dorms(i’m referring to both the suites and doubles). The environment itself isn’t very aesthetically pleasing…its kind of depressing, really…(In my opinion…you may think differently. I highly suggest you check out the campus, if you haven’t already done so).

I can’t say much more, as I haven’t heard much about the food, professors or classes.

Oh yeah, and SUNY Albany is a HUGE party school. It was recently taken off the top 10 list, but I’m sure its among the top 15.

I personally think Binghamton is a better school, but do some more research and find out which one suits you the best.

Oh yeah and check out these 1-minute interviews of SUNY Albany students, being interviewed about their college experience by CollegeClickTV

Good luck!!
