<p>Hey Guys, So I'm stuck between SUNY Binghamton and SUNY New Paltz. New paltz has always been my dream school but i applied to Binghamton thinking i probley wasn't going to get accepted. I got accepted to both with full rides. Binghamton has great reputation and is one of the best SUNY's, but New paltz has always been my dream school. I'm just really stuck between the two schools. New paltz is a up in coming school but isnt as great as binghamton. Do you think i should just consider binghamton? Either ways i'll be happy in both, but i know New Paltz will provide me with a better social life.</p>

<p>Bing has the better academic reputation, no question about that. New Paltz will be more down to earth and accepting. Have you visited both and spent time on campus talking to the students, sitting in on classes in your major and feeling the vibe of both schools?
My son had the stats for both Bing and New Paltz…he chose NP for the student population and the location. You have to find the school that feels right for you.</p>
<p>Yes i have visited both schools. They both have completely different vibes i felt. New paltz was a more laid back relaxing setting, and Binghamton was more of a pride feeling i guess you can say. I want to have a great social life at college, and i’m nervous binghamton isn’t the best place socially, where in new paltz i know for a fact i’ll enjoy the social life.</p>
<p>Sure New Paltz may have more kids who like to have fun. But that’s practically because Binghamton is a much reputable and academically challenging school. Bing’s social scene isn’t really that bad as most people say they are, and it’s a small sacrifice compare to the quality of education you’ll get out of it.</p>
