Please help guys. I currently have 2 Ds in precal and and going to fail 3rd semester. All my other grades are Cs and Bs. All my classes are academic, which is normal. If I get an A on every class in my last semester will brockport revoke my acceptance? If anyone had similar experience please share. Any help is welcome
I think acceptances are revoked if you fail any classes. Contact them and find out.
Ok I’ll check with them. Does anyone else have other suggestions about what I should tell them?
I think the best person to ask is your guidance counselors. If they don’t know the answer, they can find out for you.
Should I talk to my guidance? I’m just planning to call administration and talk to them. Is that ok
Why don’t you go have a chat with your guidance counselors and see what they advise?
I would ask your GC first, @helpmeplz111 on the off chance that your cumulative grade is okay. Some colleges rescind for F’s but not D’s. Letting your GC handle it is yoir best bet, I think. Let us know what happens.
Good luck.
For Brockport, if your total year grade isn’t an F, they won’t care. So bring those grades up!
@MYOS1634 how do u know that? Do u have personal experience or a friend who failed a class and they didn’t care? Because I heard that they’ll revoke it if you have one F not if you have an F in total year grade
@helpmeplz111, I searched their website for quite a while yesterday and didn’t see anything like that. I think MYOS1634 is right, unless you fail for the year you should be okay. I just can’t find anything that says that specifically.
They don’t have time to review your transcript term by term. If you were admitted, will graduate, and your Final Transcript as sent by your GC indicates your final grade as a C, you’re in the clear.
Of course, rather than asking random people on the internet, your best course of action probably is asking Brockport :), ie., “If I fail a midterm in a subject but my year grade is C or better, can I be rescinded or am I alright as long as I get a C for the year?”
@MYOS1634 right, of course. I just wanted to get a second opinion. But u guys def. think I should talk to Brockport right? Do you think I’ll bring unnecessary attention to my grades?
Also I’m pretty sure my school’s transcript includes all of my grades
@austinmshauri @MYOS1634
Hey guys i just called the college and they told me that i should be fine as long as i keep my gpa above a 2.0.
Thats strange to me that this college’s standards are that low. Going to call again in a few days and hopefully get someone else on the phone to ask about it. What do you guys think?
Look, that’s what they told you. Why would you want to call again!!!
They know kids get senioritis. As long as you don’t get a final grade of F, you’re fine.
(Plus, it’s SUNY Brockport. Most students admitted had grades in the C to B range in high school,
so they know that last semester senior year isn’t when their students are going to pull As. :p)
