SUNY Buffalo vs University of Southern California

We just returned from Suny Buffalo’s orientation. My dd will be an entering freshman and we were really impressed with the school. (She was also accepted at Hopkins and UCSD) We’re from San Diego area so the severe weather is a concern.
When we were driving around Buffalo, there were lots of help wanted signs. The people were extremely helpful and friendly. The drive from the airport to buffalo was 10 minutes. USC is a good school. My sis went there, but traffic was unbearable for her and it’s at a very fast pace. Employment opportunities at USC after you graduate will be phenomenal, however, the cost of living here in CA is very, very expensive. You will spend a lot of time in your car on the freeways and the cost of gas is ridiculous. Consider that the average cost here in San Diego of a home is $500K-$600K and that’s for a 1900 sf home. I hope that helps in your decision. SUNY Buffalo does have on campus jobs-check with career services.
