My son applied to Cortland EA and has not heard anything. Many of his classmates received acceptances last week. I heard that Cortland sends all (or most) of their EA acceptances in one batch, so does that mean he wasn’t accepted? Has anyone heard anything since last Saturday or Monday when many people received their letters? He is hoping another batch of acceptances will still be sent. He called Cortland and they just said he would have a decision by the end of the month.
My daughter too. Her friend got hers and her grades etc are not as good as my daughters but she did apply earlier so I’m hoping there’s more on the way.
Hi @MollyJones
I applied EA to Cortland in late October (around the 17th I think). I got my acceptance on Monday; if it helps at all here are my stats and major-
GPA-95.67 (weighted)
SAT-1210 (superscored)
Major-Psychology
7 AP classes and 6 dual enrollment classes, 3 season varsity athlete, multiple clubs and extracurriculars, various honor societies and a lot of community service.
Im from a small town on the north shore of Long Island.
My friend just got hers in the mail today from the same town as me.
Good Luck to your son!
Thanks @collegechica2023
Still nothing in the mail today, but it’s good to hear some people are still getting EA acceptances, so maybe he still has a chance. His application wasn’t complete until right before the EA cutoff, so maybe that is holding things up. His stats are slightly lower than yours, but quite a bit higher than his brother’s stats, and his brother was accepted to Cortland last year (but did not attend).
My son received his acceptance today, with a scholarship offer. He is very relieved.
