SUNY Stony Brook Vs. SUNY Binghamton

<p>Hey everyone, I'm currently wrapping up my first year of college at Stony Brook University. I originally intended to do pre-med, which Stony Brook is excellent for. However I changed to a business major before I started school. I recently put in an application to Binghamton for the school of management, because I had read that they have a stronger program up there. </p>

<p>I am settled and comfortable at Stony Brook already, and wouldn't mind staying, but if the business program at Binghamton is significantly better, I will most likely transfer. Would you say the business school at Binghamton was so much better that it would be worth transferring for? I intend to focus on finance if that helps.</p>

<p>Yes, i would recommend you to transfer if you get admission in Binghamton as their business program is better than stony brook, i wouldn’t have adviced you so if you were pre-med.</p>

<p>Also, transfer admission into SOM is really tough(SOM is the most selective school in Bing), university requires a minimum GPA of 3.5 in freshman year but i think 3.7-3.8 is good to be really positive.</p>
