Hello
I recently applied to SUNY UB for School of Management. It was a fit school (I think) so I was hoping to get scholarships if I were to go here. I’m an international student and the page says that there are no separate forms for applying with scholarship. I’ve received acceptance letter from them but it didn’t say anything about scholarships… What would be my next step? I’m not familiar with the US systems at all so please help!
(For your information my SATs were around 2100 superscored, unweighted gap 4.0/4.0, and APs of 5/5/4 for Calc AB, English Lang, and Macroeconomics)

SUNY Buffalo is a public state university, so funding is usually awarded to instate residents.
A number of scholarships are limited to domestic students since some sponsors are state and local organizations. If you haven’t received anything with your acceptances, you may need to wait for a couple of weeks and you need to be prepared for the possibility that you may not receive anything. International students typically should not rely upon scholarships from state universities.

The schools typically look at test scores and GPAs. Although 2100 is a good score, it is not in the tippy-top category for merit aid.
@“aunt bea” Thanks for quick reply! I guess I’ll just have to wait… Another additional question, the acceptance letter said to pay the deposit by May 1st of 2017 or within 15 days of the letter… which ever is later? I just want to clarify that it would mean May 1st right…?
If you plan on going there, pay the deposit for admission (?).
Your housing should be sent after that. They do provide housing for all 4 years and its pretty decent.
DD received her degree in EE and CS from there.
It is a very good school but seems to be underrated. She is doing very well in California at her large corporate company.
Did anyone get a scholarship as an international student for Fall 2017?

@zointhesky I haven’t decided as well. Other universities gave me more scholarships. So it’s very difficult to decide.
@mayra_13 same. I’ve heard good things about engineering programs at UB so I’m definitely considering it. All the best!

I know this is not the right forum for me, but a lot of you have been accepted. I have a question. Has anyone noticed the portal page change? We have not heard from UB but the portal was changed last week. It says UB Person Number that is different number than Reference number. Does any of you have this experience? Thanks!
