Hey everyone. I was supposed to go to NYU this Fall (Fall 2009). However, due to financial problems (and a lack of help from NYU), I was unable to go. Now, I will be a freshman entering in the Spring 2010 semester at UB as a Nursing major. I was just wondering if there are any other freshman out there that are entering next semester. I want to be able to find some people that are in the same situation that I am. Thanks!

I applied, im just waiting for a response. Fingers crossed :D

I applied there last year, and got waitlisted but decided that it was way too big so I didn’t even bother to stay on the waitlist…

But I’m a freshman nursing major! (At Le Moyne though.)

Congrats.

UB is a great SUNY. You do not need to incur any excess loans, etc. for nursing. You will get a good job no matter where you go to college.

My son is a freshman at UB (lives on South Campus) and loves it. He is an engineering major. Very easy to make friends in class and in the dorms. Floors are coed so it is easy to meet others. It is a very friendly school so I think you will be just fine. Also, many freshman are meeting new faces in classes each term.

You can order books on line and have them waiting for pick up in the book store. It was easy in the fall.

Post in the SUNY Buffalo forum with dorm info, ect, and you’ll get more responses then you’ll get on here.

UB is an excellent university. Very popular choice for students from my (prestigious, or at least within the WNY area) school.
