Sup suckahs

alright, so I just started my fall semester at VCU. So far, VCU has been pretty sweet. I'm liking the campus/shaf shaf/ monroe park/ blah blah.

I can't be the only one from VCU here ...

How's everyone liking it so far?

hey.....although i dont go to VCU im interested in your experience and how you find the school to be

how are the students?Social life?

The social scene at vcu is amazing. I am definitely loving every minute of it. If I want to go to a DP there are 2-3 big ones every night on the weekend, as well as 3-4 house dps a block or two from campus. If I want to go to a frat party, there is always something going on. If i'm not feeling crowds, there is always someone throwing down at a house/apartment nearby. I really cannot think of one night where I didnt have something to do.

If you aren't into the party scene at all then there are like 200 clubs you can join.

The students at VCU are really weird. It's not the best school, so you can't really expect for everyone to be there mentally. But if academia is your thing there is the honors college/ the 2-3 random people in a class who actually like school ... but no one likes them lol jk .... not really. For the most part the students who are really intense about school are the ones in premed/ kids in the sculpture program ... which is why i am thinking about transferring.

Because vcu is in rva, and near the capital building/gab/ random banks, there are a lot of opportunities for students to intern. but because there isn't a huge amount of people too serious about school a lot of the intern spots end up going to students from different colleges. Im in one right now and more than half of the interns come from w&m/tech, and there is this random guy from dartmouth. oh and UoR too. UoR sucks btw I go to parties and half the kids will be from UoR because the social life sucks over there.

in short partying at vcu is awesome, and students .... not so much.

Thanks. What are the rules for having guests stay overnight?

It really depends on your roommate. My gf stayed with me 6 days before. The only thing you have to do is sign them in

thanks for the info

If the students are so weird then how can they be fun at parties?
