Super Bowl Menu?

It’s that time for our annual SB food line up on CC?

Regional foods for the teams? (Skyline chili and Grater’s Ice Cream for the Bengals?)

New or old favorites?

Whatcha planning? (recipe links encouraged for those items that are outstanding!)

If you’re shopping at Costco for supplies I have to highly recommend this Buffalo Chicken Dip. Great flavor, great kick, chunks of blue cheese (?) and chicken. You could mix in additional shredded chicken if you like but I really like it!

I am very interested in making these:

We are going to a good sized party. There will be Skyliine chili, hot dogs etc. We were considering Graeter’s but it gets pricy for a large group. I’ll be making bacon popcorn balls and BBQ lil smokies. I’ll be curious how the popcorn balls turn out. We live near Cincinnati so you can guess who most will be rooting for. My D goes to Ohio University so all of Athens is rooting for Joe Burrow.

It will just be H and I (the neighborhood football party is a no go this year) but we want to have fun finger foods. We’ll have wings, crab wontons, and soft pretzels. We have fudge for dessert.

Captain Rodney’s Dip!

Recipe on the side of the bottle. Last large tailgate I went to (pre-Covid) our friends quadrupled the recipe.

If you have eight people, I would definitely double it.

It’s all old favorite appetizer foods that my kids love

Buffalo chicken dip
Chicken wings
Tomato, mozzarella, basil with vinaigrette
Potstickers
Chicken nuggets
Fried ravioli

Do you make the soft pretzels? If so, would love a recipe! I tried once but, meh

I was given a recipe but we are tied up during the day so I’m going to buy them.

No Brady, no party.

I will be whipping up a last minute dessert. It will consist of whatever I already have in the house. Small gathering of 8, the same people we see every year. The host will make a pot of chili. I will watch the commercials and chat with the chicks.

We are going to be trying a new recipe for steak sliders with caramelized onions and dijonnaise. I am hoping to make some mini crab cakes to go along with it. Veggies and dip. Pretty low key.

We are going to a party at our good friends house. Since our kids were young our friends have always heated to pool to 85 degrees for people to swim if they like while watching the Super bowl. I will make my buffalo chicken dip, an arugula salad and chocolate chip cookies.

This tickled me because all of Athens GA will be rooting for Matt Stafford!:black_heart::rofl:

We haven’t gone to our usual Super Bowl party during the pandemic . Husband wants to make us hoagies and I like that idea. Either that or Cincinnati chili. Hope everyone enjoys the day on Sunday! I’ll be rooting for the Bengals.

My husband is making cream cheese/cheddar stuffed jalapeños wrapped in bacon. I’m making brownies. We’re going to a party so I’m sure there will be a ton of food.

We are getting ribs from local butcher, cooked by him as well as char sui tips. I can’t wait to see how he prepares everything. We don’t have a party and likely won’t watch or may watch the commercials.

No party for us. Just H, me and our teenager.

Nothing special here. We are having chips with homemade guacamole, Old Bay wings, and because there is a chance of snow and it will be cold out, making a pot of chili (not Skyline version as that doesn’t appeal to us) and cornbread. We are celebrating D’s birthday a couple days early b/c H will be OOT on her actual birthday, so we are having red velvet cake for dessert at her request.

Since H’s team lost two weeks ago (49ers) and b/c S21 goes to college in Cincinnati, we will root for the Bengals.

Any # of people can equal a party!!!

I actually love a Super Bowl feast of “just the basics” - nachos, guacamole, wings, dips/chips, chili - ALL the stuff!

My friend, that’s having the party, texted me today and said her husband was going out fishing tomorrow so hopefully we will have some blue fin or yellow tail at their party!
