Hello! Sorry for the (possibly) stupid question, but I was wondering whether or not Brown Super-Scores the ACT? I attended an info session about two months ago, and I seem to recall the admissions officer saying something about “focusing on the highest test scores” or something to that effect. And, if they did superscore, would they see the whole of the tests being “put together?”

e.g.

Test 1: 24-26-36-36

Test 2: 29-30-35-34

Would they see the two, um, less than awesome results in the first test, when figuring the super-score or would ACT just send them the Super-Score?

Thanks for reading; sorry for being a nuisance. I’m a big fan of the Brown sub-forum. I love its activity levels. :)

Just send them all your scores. They do superscore.

A few months ago I was able to attend an info session and they said that they superscore the SAT, but don’t superscore the ACT. They would focus on the higher scores, but they don’t just take the highest numbers and disregard the rest.

I do have to wonder if they meant they don’t superscore the composite - doing so would make no sense at all, but it wouldn’t be unreasonable to superscore the rest.

Here’s a link I found: http://prepmatters.com/sites/default/files/pdf/Top%20Colleges%20-%209-29-11.pdf

I don’t know how reliable the source is though…

It’s so frustrating. I put in consistently inconsistent performances on the ACT.

Superscore = Yay!

Composite = “Oh God, why?”
