steelers are going to win the superbowl. I know they will.

pitt over seattle

OKay...so I predicted the Seahawks to make it, but I also predicted the Patriots....ouch...

Anywho...I think Steelers beat the Seahawks....

Maybe 23-17....

dem stillers gonna be crushed by seattle.

Steel crushes sea birds. Easily! Not to mention that there should be a ton more Steelers fans than Seahawk fans in the motor city.

I live in like the greatest city right now. It's Picksburg Stiller Time!

Tatupu will dominate the Steeler O.

I think Seattle is better than most think.. with the best O-line (reason why Alexander got MVP), and D-line (led NFL in sacks), they won't be beaten easily, and I think they win.

How many 3-4 teams has Seattle played? Going up against 3-4's can be pretty difficult even if you've played them many times like with Indy. It will be interesting to see how that "amazing" O line for Seattle holds up.

With 2 weeks to prepare, and the fact that the 3-4 is not some deep dark secret anymore (Dallas and Indianapolis run it, I believe), I don't think the defensive scheme plays as big of a role as you are trying to portray with your post. Yes, it is different, but Seattle is where they are for a reason, not some mistake. Quite frankly, if I'm a Pittsburgh fan, I'm a little worried. Seattle is the underdog, and we all know what that means when it comes to championship games, don't we Texas?

Indianapolis had 2 weeks to prepare and had already played Pittsburgh before, SD, and NE plenty of times. They still weren't ready for the blitz packages that were thrown their way. I still said though that it will be interesting to see how well they do. Holmgren is a offensive coach, so he can probably find some way to get around the blitzes if they are successful at first, unlike Manning and the Mistake.
How well did they do against the Cowboys? Indy runs 4-3, I believe.

I don't think that the 3-4 scheme had a whole lot to do with Pittsburgh's success (NE runs a 3-4, and that didn't help them)...a lot more was due to their desire and the team they were playing's mistakes. Plummer single handedly flubbed the game for Denver, and Indianapolis seemed over confident, and if they hadn't run out of time, would have beaten Pittsburgh. Seattle, on the other hand, is very balanced and plays as a team (had 50 sacks--nfl best--without an NFL sack leader). Holmgren won't let them get overconfident either (see Indy's downfall), as shown by his reaction to letting Carolina score a last ditch touchdown in the NFC Championship (even though Seattle was up 34-7). I'm not saying that Seattle is going to walk all over Pittsburgh, but I wouldn't automatically call SuperBowl XL a sure fire Pitt win, either.

To make things fair though, NE didn't have Seymour, Bruschi, Harrison, and a few others. Could Indy could well without Manning, Harrison, and James? Maybe .500.

Indy seemed really confident in the 4th down 21-3. Very confident.

Hmm...according to the following site, NE had all the players you excluded except harrison. Indy wasn't over confident after they woke up (midway through the 4th quarter), but they did almost come back and win, did they not? One step to the right and the DB who picked up Bus's fumble is gone, goodbye Pitt.

One, that wouldn't have met that Indy would have won the game, just that they would have taken the lead. The Steelers would have had a minute left with 3 timeouts. They hadn't moved the ball that well for a while because they didn't feel like they didn't to score, just play safe, but when they had to score, they did, or there was a freak fumble. Guess what though? He didn't, so his team lost for sure. We do know that.

Two, I thought we were talking about the NE vs Indy game.

^Nope, I was referring to the fact that you seem to be sure that Pittsburgh's 3-4 scheme is what has been the difference for them in the playoffs. saying:

My point was that if it was just the 3-4 that has made Pittsburgh so successful, and why they will beat Seattle, then what happened to NE who runs a very confusing 3-4?

I think it's other things for Pittsburgh, including a combination of their good play and the teams playing them having a bad day. Pittsburgh is not as "dominant" as you seem to think (i.e. if they wanted to score they can, like pushing a button).

How many people say Steelers, and how many say seattle.

I hate both of them, but Steelers a little less. So I'm hoping they win. Beyond that I don't care. No way am I staying up until 4 am to watch that game.

i want the steelers to win.

STILLERS ALL THE WAY!

Here we go stillers here we go PITTSBURGH's GOING TO THE SUPERBOWL! :)
