Superscore?

Does UMich/Ross super-score the SAT?

No, Michigan does not superscore. Michigan’s admissions website states it clearly.

So, would there be a huge difference between my 1470 in one sitting and my 1540 superscored?

Not really. There is no difference between 1470 and 1540. You will be fine.

There definitely would be a difference for Ross pre-admit though, right?

I am not sure about Ross. I know Michigan in general does not rely too heavily on the SAT, choosing rather to focus on GPA. Typically, Michigan would rather accept a 4.0 student with a 1300 on the SAT than a 3.6 student with a 1500 on the SAT. I am not sure how Ross functions, but given its relatively low acceptance rate, I would assume that SAT will play a larger role, if only for weeding-out purposes. But ECs and the Ross essay will play a much more important role. I have known 10 or so students with perfect school records (valedictorian types), 2200+ SAT scores, excellent leadership record in their chosen ECs and strong essays who applied preadmit to Ross over the last 3 years. Of those 10 or so students, only 3 were admitted. Those are the odds Ross pre-admits face.

In other words, it is no use overthinking it or wondering about odds. Ross is very random and impossible to predict.
