Superscoring the ACT

For schools that say they superscore the ACT, or evaluate an application by the highest subscores over all tests, is the data that is publicized about the number of students that scored within a range referring to the superscore or the raw composite?

So let’s say Amherst says that ### students were accepted that scored between 34-36. does this mean their superstore was between those ranges? Or was that just their highest composite score? (Amherst says they superscore)

I would imagine it would be the superscore.since they advertise that is how they admit.
